Games have been a part of everybody’slife. From civilizations centuries ahead of us, games were a part of differentcultures which helps in expressing them and to unite each other. Before, simplegames of throwing rocks into a hole are common or horsemen trying to hit eachother with wooden sticks. But as technology rises and people enter the modernworld, more complex and fun games were invented like basketball, volleyball, chess and many more. We can say that some of them are just modern, enhancedreplicas of the games in the past but some are also original in nature. Hereare some games you might want to engage and surely have fun with.

European Fencing

Just likeKendo, fencing evolved from the actual sword dueling styles employed all overEurope and all over European colonies. It used to involve the user of rapiersand actual swords during combat, but in today’s world, the fencer’s weaponry islimited to the foil, epee and the saber for safety purposes. A fencer isrequired to wear white-colored jacket and pants and pads on their weapon armsto prevent injury from the other player’s blade. The other arm is held on theside and relatively free from contact with the actual weapon. A fencer wears awire mesh mask to protect the face and a pair of padded gloves to shield thehands as well.

Corn Toss

Corn toss, orcornhole, did not evolve from combative play but evolved from a ratherprimitive form of tossing stones on a hole for a score. Instead of stones, playersare to toss bags of beans or corn into a large hole bored into the middle of acornhole board. This game is very simple to play and understand, making it verypopular all over the Midwest and in some states as well. There’s a funny cornhole video thatexplains a bit about the game, and you can also go to customcorntoss.com tolearn more about cornhole equipment.
